About Proposition 65

The state of California passed legislation called the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 that entitles its residents and consumers to receive distinct notifications about products known to contain harmful chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or reproductive issues from exceeded exposure with specific thresholds, so consumers can make informed decisions about product use in household or work environments. Today this legislation is commonly known as Proposition 65.
